I'm Sara Tane and I'm a private chef, food writer, and recipe developer based in Frisco, Colorado.
When I was a sophomore in college, I was studying for a chemistry exam and decided to make a *secret* food Instagram account because cooking is way cooler than colloids. Best procrastination tactic I've ever used. Now, I've written for Good Housekeeping, The Kitchn, Cooking Light, The Takeout, MyRecipes, and Saveur, and I'm a graduate of the Institute of Culinary Education (I failed the chemistry exam, too).
I was born and raised on Long Island and studied Food Studies and Global Studies (not chemistry) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
I also have a serious thing for oysters.
